Gold ADDYs for Dark Horse Media Tucson! We at Dark Horse Media are pleased to find a home in our conference room for two new Gold ADDYs this year! One, for best Integrated Campaign for Rosemont Copper’s television, print and digital campaign. The other Gold Addy was for the El Tour de Tucson digital takeover ad featuring Chris Mooney’s incredible photographic creation.
Awards give us all reason for celebration, and they also remind us to all stop and look at what we’ve created together. No one person is responsible for projects like these.
Linda, along with other El Tour board members this year, had a brainstorming session that led to the concept “The Spirit of the West Rides On” along with an image that would incorporate cyclists, riders on horseback, and the Arizona state flag, all in a Sonoran Desert setting. Chris Mooney was the man who could make it all happen, in an ingenious and stunning fashion. Media partnership negotiations, and all that that partnership would encompass, were undertaken between Dark Horse Media and Journal Broadcast Group. The homepage takeovers on Journal’s websites, and our subsequent creation of that ad in-house, resulted in the ADDY Gold for the digital ad.
Rosemont Copper was a team effort as well, incorporating the hands-on hard work of Linda, Greg Booth, Roman Sandoval, Renee, Dan Ryan and myself…all writing, re-writing, shooting, editing, sketching, designing and tweaking until the final products were everything we’d dreamed they could be.
Lastly, awards are nice, but we still always look for the bottom line: did these move the market? Did the campaign make its mark, not just in beauty but economically, for our clients and therefore our marketplace? Therein lies our favorite award of all.
